These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Masjid Connect mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Masjid Connect is a community-driven, crowdsourced platform designed to help users find and share information about masjids, including names, locations, prayer times, and available facilities. The data on our platform is provided and maintained by our community of users.
2. User Accounts and Contributions
2.1. Authentication and Third-Party Services
You may create a contributor profile by signing in with a third-party service such as Google ("Third-Party Service"). By doing so, you authorize us to access and use certain information from your Third-Party Service account, such as your name and email address, to create your profile. Your use of any Third-Party Service is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
2.2. Contributor Profile
To contribute information, you may be required to create a profile consisting of a public nickname and a unique username. You are responsible for the information you provide and for maintaining its accuracy. Your contributions will be publicly attributed to your chosen nickname.
2.3. Anonymous Contributions
Your contributions are linked to an anonymous Session ID to maintain a record of submissions. While your nickname is public, your personal identity beyond your chosen profile details is not required.
2.4. Account Responsibility
You agree not to impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim or trademark on those usernames.
3. User-Generated Content
As a crowdsourcing application, we rely on your contributions ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit.
3.1. License to Use User Content
By submitting, posting, or displaying User Content on or through the Service, you grant Masjid Connect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute such User Content in any and all media or distribution methods.
3.2. Content Guidelines & Acceptable Use
You agree that your User Content will not:
- Contain information that you know is false, misleading, or inaccurate.
- Be defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or offensive.
- Promote discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment, or harm against any individual or group.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Contain any form of advertising or commercial solicitation.
We encourage all users to contribute information that is helpful, accurate, and respectful.
3.3. Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, moderate, or remove any User Content that, in our sole judgment, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We are not responsible for any delay or failure in removing such content.
4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
All information on Masjid Connect, including prayer times, locations, and facility details, is crowdsourced and provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of User Content and cannot be held responsible for it. Users are strongly encouraged to verify critical information, such as prayer start times, through independent means before relying on it.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Masjid Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the service; (iii) any content obtained from the service; or (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to, your breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
